A position within the Import /Export Control Organization facilitating international transportation in support of a global aerospace production and sustainment enterprise. Review and interpret import/export regulations, laws and requirements, including, but not limited to, U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Classify products according to HTS/Schedule B and other associated regulations. Continuously monitor best business practices and associated processes and procedures. Provide guidance and oversight to other organizations engaged in import/export compliance activities.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum two years U.S. Customs Harmonized Tariff Code classification experience
- Experience/knowledge to apply General Rules of Interpretation (GRI), HTSUS Section and Chapter Notes, and utilize Explanatory Notes and Rulings to accurately determine HTSUS & Schedule B tariff codes.
- Experience to Identify and obtain product descriptive information and data necessary for accurate classification of aerospace related commodities.
- Strong business software skills e.g. databases, spreadsheets and website applications

Desired skills
A working knowledge of Canadian, European Union and other Global Tariff Classification Schedules
- US Customs Broker License
- Knowledge of programs and systems implemented by Homeland Security/Customs & Border Protection (CBP)
- Experience with Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP) and/or Global Trade Services (GTS)
- US Export Control Classification awareness including Export Commodity Control Number (ECCN) and United States Munitions List (USML) categories
- Familiarity with non-US based trade compliance regulations
- Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast pace team environment
- Must be able to complete tasks on a timely matter with minimal supervision
- Good decision making skills
