Question: Our company is filing some EEIs through AESDirect for shipments being facilitated by our customers’ forwarders. If the EEIs were filed by the forwarder, they would clearly need to be declared as routed exports. When we are doing the filing directly instead, should we check off “Y” for routed exports?
Question: If AES documentation is not filed on time the streamship lines fine you and add charges for rolling bookings etc. What recourse does an exporter have if the steamship line does not give you original bills of lading for 3-4 weeks because they are overloaded in documentation?
