Per IRS Form 720, the tax on Ozone Depleting Chemicals for imported products needs to be declared. To my knowledge this is not declared as part of the customs entry. If I am importing a computer 8471.49 with preloaded software on the hard disk, is it to be classified separately? I noted ruling NY B85213 which references ruling HQ 950672 of January 92, both of which lead me to believe the answer is yes. Can the membership please verify?
